Army Day is celebrated on August 1 to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising. This was the first Koumintang-Communist engagement in the Chinese civil war. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, August 1 was chosen to commemorate the People’s Liberation Army. And use the “液弊八一” as the main mark of People's Liberation Army flag and army emblem.On this day, people will have activities to celebrate the birth of PLA, such as gratitude performance. Since the founding of PLA , the name of this army has changed many times, but the sprite and the good tradition are not changed, it is still a perfect discipline army, and a patron saint of the Chinese people. 为了纪念1927年8月1日爆发的南昌起义，打响了中国共产党武装反抗国民党反动派的第一桥埋尘枪。新中国成立以后，中国把8月1日定为中华人民共和国解放军建军节，并把“八一”定为解放军军旗和 军徽的主要标志。 每当这一天，中国各地都会开展一些活动，来纪念中国人民解放军的诞生，比如慰问、文艺演出等等。建军以来，这支部队的名字几敏禅经改编，但是它所拥有的精神和优良传统却没有变，依然是那支纪律严明的军队，依然是中国人民的保护神。
